Frequently Asked Questions
The HubCast Service
How does HubCast work?
You simply place your order, specifying the type of marketing collateral you need
(such as a 4-page brochure), the quantity you want and the delivery destination
– and then upload a PDF of your print file. HubCast then verifies the PDF, auto-imposes
the file, and routes it automatically to one of our certified print service providers
(PSP) in the country or in the market closest to your destination.
We handle factors such as currency exchange rates, taxes, etc., and manage a color
management process with our PSPs to assure color and brand consistency, regardless
of where across the globe your print file is produced.
Our PSP then prints your order on a digital HP Indigo press, and delivers it to
the required destination and timeframe, based on the service option you selected
(standard 5-day service to as fast as same-day service).

Who are the printers in the HubCast network?
HubCast partners with only superior print service providers (PSPs) across the world.
In addition to possessing strong print production, quality and color management,
and logistics capabilities, each of our PSPs operate digital HP Indigo printers
and perform a range of standard finishing operations, such as cutting, trimming
and saddle-stitching, among others. With these common capabilities, HubCast can
produce and deliver color-consistent, high-quality sales and marketing collateral,
on-demand, across the globe.
Does HubCast own the print shops?
HubCast has established service level agreements, pricing, and payment processes
with our print service providers (PSPs). At this time, our relationship is operational
in nature. We do not have a financial interest in them, or the PSPs in us.
How does HubCast select printers?
HubCast assesses qualified printers based on a broad range of criteria including
production, quality, color management, and logistics expertise, and a common set
of capabilities including use of digital HP Indigo printers. Upon agreement on the
terms of our relationship, we then perform an on-site audit, on-site installation,
and on-going monitoring as part of our certification process. For more information,
please see our white paper, Quality
Management in a Distributed Print Environment.
How do you standardize quality and color management on a worldwide basis?
HubCast has built into its solution a rigorous approach to color and quality management
across all of its global print service providers (PSPs). By doing so, we can commit
to the high quality production of commercial-grade sales and marketing collateral
wherever it is printed across our PSP network and to color consistency within 3-delta-E
of our color standard. Please see our
Quality Management white paper for a detailed description of our process
and capability.
What presses does HubCast use?
The common press platform for all of our print service providers is the digital
HP Indigo press.
Do you print on only 4-color presses?
Yes. At this time, all of our presses are digital HP Indigo printer with at least
four-color print capability.
